ASDA and SDSA Day

On Friday 2nd November, the partnership between Southampton ASDAs, the Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association (SDSA), and the Saints Foundation, was continued by a day at ASDA in Southampton.

Between 9am and 4pm, representatives of the SDSA committee were in ASDA with a tombola and draw for a pennant signed by the Saints 1st team or a stadium tour, and all that was asked was a donation.

Sammy Saint joined us, and was helped during the day by Ryan and Marcin from ASDA.  Thank you Ryan and Marcin.

Sammy posed for photos with loads of shoppers, both young and old, before going into the store to do some shopping and help out.

While their parents were having a go at the tombola and draw, the younger shoppers were given halloween themed doughnuts (even though it was 2 days after halloween!) to eat.  The doughnuts had tiny chocolate shapes on them, and so there were a lot of faces with “dirty” marks on them around the store.

Ryan Day, has just taken over the Community role at the Southampton ASDA, but has vowed that we must return to do further fundraising days in the future, with the next day possibly in February 2013.

Prize draw winners:
Signed Pennant – Mrs J Waterman (presentation)
Stadium Tour for 2 – Danny (surname unknown)
