We know you’ve been missing seeing the team at St Mary’s as much as we have. How would you like a chance to show them?

We have come up with a way that you can show the players just how much you have missed them and help us to raise a few pounds for the Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association (SDSA) into the bargain.

The SDSA has been supporting the needs of disabled and able-bodied fans at St Mary’s for 10 years this year. Whilst now may not be the easiest time to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we wanted to do something positive with the club to mark this milestone.

We are, therefore, creating a large banner to display at Staplewood training ground for the players and staff to show them how much we are all missing them. The banner will be made up of fans' images, photos of people like you, wearing your colours, to motivate and hopefully inspire the team in training to do even better on a matchday, knowing you are there behind them.

The SDSA, like most organisations, has not had the chance to raise vital funds this year due to COVID-19, so we are using this opportunity, not only to show the players how much we miss them, but to raise funds for our ongoing plans. As many may know, we usually host an Open Day at St Mary’s Stadium for up to 1,000 people and run a Summer Draw which, along with bucket collections at the ground, provides us with funds to carry out our work. Alas, none of that has been possible this year. The funds raised from this campaign will enable people with disabilities to watch live sport at St Mary's Stadium who may never have experienced a game before.  It will also provide financial support to many local sports teams promoting activities for the disabled.

Each person wishing to take their place on the SDSA’s ‘We Miss You’ banner is asked to donate a minimum of £10 using the Upload My Picture button below.

Part of the money raised from donations will offset the cost of producing the banner and the remainder will be used for funding our future plans.

We can’t anticipate how many of you will want to take part or are even able to in the current climate, but we are aiming for at least 500 images and, if the idea takes off, we will add more.

We will endeavour to get as many people onto the banner as possible but the aim is twofold – to show the players how much we are missing them and to raise money – so the earlier you apply, the more chance you have of appearing.

Whilst you won’t be able to see the banner in the flesh, photos of it will be placed on the SDSA website and on our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter. We will also be placing all of your photos onto the SDSA website - so your face will be up in lights and you can see yourself along with all of the other contributors.

The names of all donors regardless of the amount donated will appear on our Proud List of Donors board which will also be displayed on the website and shared with Southampton FC.

It’s simple! You just need to:

Upload a HIGH RESOLUTION photograph (maximum size 8mb - PORTRAIT NOT LANDSCAPE) of yourself, your friends or family, all wearing your Saints colours below. The more colourful, the better. Your photo should be accompanied by your name as you want it to appear on the donor list.

IMPORTANT - we can only include those on the banner that have provided a £10 donation along with their photograph.

If you would like to make a donation to the campaign but would rather not upload a photograph, you can do so here at JustGiving. Names provided on the JustGiving page will still be included in the Proud List of Donors so make sure you include yours if you would like to be included on the page. When prompted, please share your donation with other friends and family to encourage them to join in.

Please share your photos on your social media channels tagging us on Facebook @SaintsDSA and Twitter @SaintsDSA_2010 using the hashtag #SDSAWeMissYouBanner and keep checking back for updates.

So, DONATE TODAY, send us in your best photo in your Saints colours and let’s show our fabulous team what they mean to us! #SDSAWeMissYouBanner

  • By sending us your name and photograph, you are giving us your consent to use them in any associated social media coverage, on our website and in any other relevant publicity.
  • The image you send us must be one of yourself, your friends or family and by sending it to us, you are confirming that you have the consent from everyone in the photograph to send it to us and to be used in the ways described above.
  • Due to the anticipated volume of photos and emails we may receive, we are unable to enter into detailed communication concerning this and will not be in a position to confirm receipt of photographs or donations. For this reason, please make sure you have read and understood the conditions of How to take part.
  • If we receive queries that we cannot respond to individually, we will add further answers to the FAQ page up on the website.
  • We will only retain your names and images for the purposes of the banner campaign.
  • By joining in with the campaign, you consent to your email address being retained on our database for future fundraising campaigns. Please advise us if you would like to be removed at the conclusion of this campaign by emailing [email protected].
  • We will do our utmost to include everyone who has sent photos in and are doing this in good faith. We have never taken on a project of this size but have robust systems in place. The website and hosting are outside of our control and looked after by volunteers and they are doing their best to ensure everything is online. Therefore the SDSA cannot be held responsible if there is an IT failure.
  • If we are swamped with photos and cannot accommodate them on the banner, we will update the SDSA website and communicate this over our social media channels Facebook & Twitter. We still want to encourage you to send us in your photos to be hosted on our website but these and associated names will only take their place on the website if a donation is made. For this reason, it is the donors responsibility to check the website to ensure that we are still accepting photos for the banner.
  • You must be 18 years or over to send photos in for the banner campaign but we hope that parents and guardians will involve their families.
  • Any photograph containing threatening, abusive, insulting, inappropriate or racist language or images will not be included on either the banner or the web site and NO REFUND of donation will be given. SDSA decision on this will be final and no communication entered into.

The SDSA may consider sponsorship or donation applications  to promote,
awareness of the Association and/or support a disabled cause in the local community
