It was with great sadness, that we learnt of the passing of the Gary Deards, the vice chair of Level Playing Fields (LPF), this week.
Level Playing Fields are a national organisation that advise and campaign about disabled facilities at stadiums around the UK, and we have spoken to Gary to discuss issues over the last year.
Last year, we were fortunate that Gary joined us at one of our monthly committee meetings, and during a quick tour of St Mary’s, he gave us (and Saints representatives) a few pointers as to what was good and bad about the stadium.
During the stadium tour, Gary posed for a photo with the SDSA Chair (Gary is on the right of the photo).
Gary’s expertise in accessibility matters will be missed by the SDSA.
