SDSA Recognised For Making a Difference

The Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association has been nominated for a BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference award 2023 in the Community Group category.

We were told that we were up against “hundreds” of other nominees, which was an achievement as there are a lot of community groups within the Radio Solent area.

However, a few months ago we were told that we had been shortlisted as 1 of the 4 finalists in our category which is fantastic.

Although we have known for some time, we were asked to keep it to ourselves, so we couldn’t shout about the honour of being in the last 4 community groups for this year’s awards.

Paul, our Secretary, did an interview with Helen Head from BBC Radio Solent, and you can listen to it by viewing the video below.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 26th September at the award ceremony being held at St Mary’s Stadium.

Representing the Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association at the ceremony will be our Chairman Andy Mather, our Secretary Paul Lucas, and committee member Ange Lucas.

Wish us luck!!
