Social Media Boycott – April/May 2021

We have decided to join the Premier League, English Football League and Women’s Super League clubs in a four-day boycott of social media platforms in an effort to combat abuse and discrimination.

The boycott starts on Friday 30th April and ends on Monday 3rd May, and during these 4 days we will not be posting any new messages or content on our Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts.

Southampton Football Club and Saints Foundation along with all other football groups, will not be using Social Media during the 4 days.

We have agreed to join them in this social media ban in support of kicking racism out.

Social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter need to change their policies towards racism, as their combined inability to combat abuse & racism on their respective platforms cannot continue.
