Level Playing Field has released the official 2024 ‘Unite For Access’ campaign film, ahead of the celebration of access and inclusion for disabled sports fans starting this weekend.
The charity produces a film each year, to bring the experiences of disabled fans to the fore, as it is shared widely across social media and shown on big screens inside sports stadiums across England and Wales.
Last year’s video took supporters inside the match day’s of disabled supporters from three different clubs, while this year’s video shares a much wider range of voices and has a focused look at non-visible disabilities.
The thanks of Level Playing Field go to EFL and Premier League, for their support with this video and the wider campaign, as well as other partners, the production team and most importantly, the interviewees, for sharing their experiences with us.
Further content featuring the interviewees will be shared across Level Playing Field’s channels throughout the campaign.
Hundreds of sports clubs across England and Wales will come together to celebrate Unite For Access between February 24 and March 10, with match days dedicated to access and inclusion for disabled fans.
Saints will be dedicating the home game against Preston on Wednesday 6th March as the Unite for Access game, and there will be videos and activities at the game and around the stadium.
The Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association work with Saints to make the matchday experience the same for disabled supporters as non-disabled supporters, so if you have any comments, good or bad, or encounter issues while at St Mary’s, let us know by emailing [email protected].
