Glenn Cockerill becomes 4th SDSA Ambassador

It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce former Saints captain, Glenn Cockerill, as yet another ambassador to join the Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association to help us promote the good work being done withing the Association and raise our profile further.

Glenn played 358 times for the Saints in the 1980/90s, scoring 39 times. He was player of the season in 1986/87 and played at Wembley with the Saints when we were Full Members Cup (Zenith Data Systems Cup) finalists in 1992 losing out to Nottingham Forest in the final in extra time.

SDSA Chairman, Andy Mather, welcomed the news, saying “It is fantastic that another ex-Saint has agreed to become an Ambassador of the Saints Disabled Supporters’ Association, especially as Glenn is Manager of the Ex-Saints Football Team, which organises games with local football teams to raise money for local charitable causes”.

Glenn commented “When I was approached to become an Ambassador of the SDSA, I jumped at the chance as the SDSA’s raison d’etre matches my own in that we both raise money to give away to charitable and worthy causes”.
